Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is the delivery of healthcare services at a distance using telecommunications technology. This allows us to provide physiotherapy consultations, assessments, and treatments through video calls, making healthcare more accessible and convenient.

2. How could you treat me with no hands-on treatment?

Physiotherapists can effectively treat musculoskeletal and neurological injuries via video visits. We rely on:

  • Systematic examination techniques

  • Active listening to understand your concerns

  • Visual observation of your movement patterns

  • Functional testing that can be performed remotely

  • Evidence-based assessment methods

These techniques allow us to diagnose conditions and develop effective treatment plans without hands-on manipulation.

3. Will I receive quality care?

We will always provide you with the same level of high-quality care as you would receive in any in-person visit. Our licensed physiotherapist has over 15 years of experience and uses proven telehealth methodologies that have been researched and validated for effectiveness.

4. Is my condition right for online physical therapy?

We can treat most musculoskeletal and neurological injuries via video visits. However, if during our assessment we determine that your condition is not suitable for online treatment, we will:

  • Refer you to appropriate in-person healthcare providers

  • Provide a full refund for your session

  • Ensure you receive the most appropriate care for your needs

5. Can I claim this cost through insurance?

Yes! Most extended benefit carriers cover virtual physiotherapy visits depending on your plan, including:

  • WorksafeBC

  • Great West Life

  • Sun Life

  • Canada Life

  • RCMP health benefits

  • ICBC claims

We provide detailed receipts that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

6. What are your fees?

Our transparent pricing structure:

  • First Visit/Initial Assessment (30 minutes): $90.00

  • Follow-Up Session (30 minutes): $90.00

  • Extended Follow-Up (60 minutes): $180.00

We also offer free initial consultations if you’re unsure whether online physiotherapy is right for your condition.

7. Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No, a referral from a physician to see a physiotherapist is unnecessary in Canada. You can book directly with us without needing a doctor’s referral. However, we may recommend consulting with your physician for certain conditions as part of comprehensive care.

8. What is your rescheduling and cancellation policy?

We understand that schedules can change:

  • No fee to reschedule if you contact us 24-hour before your appointment

  • 50% fee applies if you cannot attend without providing 24-hour notice

We encourage you to contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule to avoid any fees.

9. What if I live outside British Columbia?

Currently, we can provide services to clients located in the province of :

  • British Columbia

  • Nunavut

  • Northwest Territories

This is due to licensing regulations that govern where we can practice physiotherapy.
